• Scientific Name: Jasminum sambac (L.) Aiton. Chinese Jasmine Buds are dried unopened flower buds with natural ivory-white petals, green calyxes and a compact, delicate appearance.
• Also Known As: Jasmine Buds, Chinese Jasmine Flowers, Mogra, Motia, Arabian Jasmine, Sambac Jasmine, Mo Li Hua, Malligai, Mallige, Mulla and Bela.
• What It’s Known For: Highly aromatic flower buds with a sweet floral, honeyed, softly green and lightly tea-like character. Commonly prepared as a standalone flower infusion or blended with green tea, white tea, oolong, black tea, mint, rose, citrus peel and dried fruits.
• How to Use: Add approximately 1–2 teaspoons of Jasmine Buds to 200–250 ml of hot water. Cover and steep for 5–7 minutes, then strain. The buds may also be blended with tea leaves, herbs, flowers or dried fruit according to taste.
