• Scientific Name: Rosa rugosa Thunb. Pink Rose Buds are compact dried flower buds with tightly layered pink petals, natural green sepals and a delicate floral appearance.
• Also Known As: Pink Rose Buds, Rose Buds, Rugosa Rose Buds, Gulab Kali, Mei Gui Hua, Mei Gui Hua Lei and Dried Pink Roses.
• What It’s Known For: Aromatic flower buds with sweet floral, lightly fruity, honeyed, gently green and mildly astringent notes. Commonly prepared as a floral infusion or blended with green tea, black tea, white tea, hibiscus, chamomile, jasmine, mint and citrus peel. Rose tea flavour varies with flower maturity and drying method, ranging from floral and sweet to fruity, woody, lightly sour and astringent.
• How to Use: Add approximately 3–5 Pink Rose Buds to 200–250 ml of hot water. Cover and steep for 5–7 minutes, then strain. The buds may also be separated into petals for tea blends, syrups, baking, desserts and culinary decoration.
