True Rose of Jericho (Kaff Maryam) | Anastatica hierochuntica
• Scientific Name: Anastatica hierochuntica L. Rose of Jericho is a naturally dried desert plant with tightly curled, pale beige-to-brown branches that gradually spread outward when exposed to moisture.
• Also Known As: True Rose of Jericho, Kaff Maryam, Hand of Mary, Maryam’s Flower, Virgin’s Hand, St. Mary’s Flower and Resurrection Plant.
• What It’s Known For: A distinctive moisture-responsive botanical that opens when wet and curls inward again as it dries. Commonly used for botanical display, cultural presentation, educational demonstrations, photography and dried plant collections.
• How to Use: Place the dried plant in a shallow dish and add a small amount of clean water around its base, or mist the branches thoroughly. Allow time for the branches to open, then remove the plant from the water and let it dry completely after the display.
• Awafi Mill Quality: Carefully selected whole Rose of Jericho plants packed without added colours, artificial fragrances, fillers or preservatives. Store completely dry in a cool, well-ventilated place away from moisture and direct sunlight.
