Pomegranate Flowers | Gulnar | Anar Phool | Punica granatum
-
• Scientific Name: Punica granatum L. Pomegranate Flowers are dried whole and partially opened blossoms with rich red, crimson and burgundy colouring, crinkled petals and firm natural calyxes.
• Also Known As: Gulnar, Jullanar, Gul-e-Anar, Anar Phool, Pomegranate Blossoms, Pomegranate Flower Buds and Zahr Al Rumman.
• What It’s Known For: A traditional botanical ingredient with a tart, astringent, mildly bitter, lightly floral and earthy character. Commonly supplied for flower infusions, tea blends, botanical powders, decorative blends and selected personal-care preparations.
• How to Use: Add approximately 1–2 teaspoons of Pomegranate Flowers to 200–250 ml of hot water. Cover and steep for 5–8 minutes, then strain. Begin with a small quantity because the natural astringency becomes stronger with extended steeping.
• Awafi Mill Quality: Carefully selected Pomegranate Flowers packed without added colours, artificial flavours, fillers or preservatives. Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from moisture, excessive heat and direct sunlight.
