• Scientific Name: Coreopsis tinctoria Nutt. Kunlun Snow Chrysanthemum consists of dried open flower heads with golden-yellow to orange petals, dark red-brown centres and occasional natural green bracts.
• Also Known As: Snow Chrysanthemum, Kunlun Xue Ju, Xue Ju, Coreopsis Flower Tea, Golden Coreopsis, Calliopsis and Dyer’s Coreopsis.
• What It’s Known For: A distinctive flower-infusion ingredient with floral, herbal, green, lightly fruity, gently sweet and subtly toasted notes. It produces a golden-amber to reddish-brown infusion and can be prepared alone or blended with goji berries, mint, citrus peel, green tea, white tea, black tea or pu-erh.
• How to Use: Add approximately 3–5 whole flower heads to 200–250 ml of hot water. Cover and steep for 3–5 minutes, then strain. The same flowers may be steeped again with fresh hot water.
