BOTANICAL IDENTITY: Lotus Seed Plumule is the small green embryo found inside mature lotus seeds from Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn., an aquatic plant in the Nelumbonaceae family. It is traditionally known in Chinese trade as Lian Zi Xin or Plumula Nelumbinis.
