Magnolia Flowers (Yulan Hua | Yulan Magnolia) – Magnolia denudata
• Scientific Name: Magnolia denudata Desr. Magnolia Flowers are dried whole and partially opened blossoms with naturally curled petals, short stems and deep reddish-brown to burgundy colouring.
• Also Known As: Yulan Magnolia Flowers, Yulan Hua, Lilytree Flowers, Jade Orchid Flowers, Chinese Magnolia Flowers and Dried Magnolia Blossoms.
• What It’s Known For: An aromatic culinary flower with floral, lightly citrusy, warm-spiced, gently woody and mildly bitter notes. Commonly prepared as a flower infusion or blended with green tea, white tea, oolong, rose, jasmine, mint and citrus peel.
• How to Use: Add approximately 1–2 dried flowers or 1–2 teaspoons to 250 ml of hot water. Cover and steep for 3–5 minutes, then strain. Begin with a smaller quantity because the floral and bitter notes become stronger with prolonged steeping.
• Awafi Mill Quality: Carefully selected Magnolia Flowers packed without added colours, artificial flavours, fillers or preservatives. Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from moisture, excessive heat, direct sunlight and strong odours.
