Peach Blossom Buds | Tao Hua
-
• Scientific Name: Batsch. Peach Blossom Buds are small dried flower buds with naturally folded pink petals, grey-green sepals and a delicate floral appearance. Prunus persica is the accepted botanical name for the peach plant.
• Also Known As: Peach Blossoms, Peach Flower Buds, Tao Hua, Tao Hua Lei, Momo no Hana, Aadu ke Phool and Zahr Al Khawkh.
• What It’s Known For: A traditional East Asian flower-infusion ingredient with delicate floral, lightly fruity, gently green, mildly herbal and slightly bitter notes. Dried peach blossoms have documented use in tea and flower-based beverages.
• How to Use: Add approximately 3–5 Peach Blossom Buds or 1 teaspoon to 200–250 ml of hot water. Cover and steep for 3–5 minutes, then strain. Begin with a smaller quantity because prolonged steeping may produce stronger green, bitter or astringent notes.
• Awafi Mill Quality: Carefully selected Peach Blossom Buds packed without added colours, artificial flavours, fillers or preservatives. Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat, direct sunlight and strong odours.
