• Scientific Name: Paeonia × suffruticosa Andrews. Peony Flower Buds are compact dried blossoms with naturally layered petals, rounded shapes and vivid pink-to-magenta colouring.
• Also Known As: Peony Buds, Peony Flowers, Mu Dan Hua, Mudan Hua, Chinese Peony Flowers, Moutan Flowers and Dried Peony Blossoms.
• What It’s Known For: Aromatic flower buds with sweet floral, gently green, mildly fruity, lightly earthy and slightly astringent notes. Commonly prepared as a flower infusion or blended with green tea, white tea, rose, jasmine, chrysanthemum, mint and citrus peel.
• How to Use: Add approximately 2–3 Peony Flower Buds to 200–250 ml of hot water. Cover and steep for 5–7 minutes, then strain. The buds may also be re-steeped or blended with other flowers and tea leaves.
