• Scientific Name: Citrus maxima (Burm.) Merr. Pomelo Flower Buds are dried unopened and partially opened citrus blossoms with natural cream, pale peach, beige and green colouring. Citrus grandis is a recognised botanical synonym.
• Also Known As: Pomelo Blossom Buds, Pomelo Flowers, Pummelo Flowers, Hoa Buoi, Nụ Hoa Bưởi, Youzi Hua and Shaddock Blossoms.
• What It’s Known For: Highly aromatic citrus flower buds with sweet floral, honeyed, fresh green, lightly citrusy and mildly bitter notes. Pomelo blossoms are particularly associated with fragrant tea and culinary preparations in Vietnam and other parts of Southeast Asia.
• How to Use: Add approximately 5–7 Pomelo Flower Buds to 200–250 ml of hot water. Cover and steep for 3–5 minutes, then strain. Use alone or blend with green tea, white tea, jasmine, chamomile, mint, lemongrass or citrus peel.
