  • Also known as: Snow Daisy, Xue Ju, Kunlun Mountain Daisy, High-Altitude Coreopsis, Wild Mountain Tea.

  • Scientific name: Coreopsis tinctoria (A rare, wild-growing high-altitude variety found exclusively in the Kunlun Mountains of China).

  • What it’s known for: Its "Golden Amber Essence." Unlike common white or yellow chrysanthemums, the Snow Chrysanthemum is famous for its dark burgundy petals and brilliant golden centers. It produces a striking, deep reddish-amber liquor that is remarkably rich, velvety, and honey-sweet, with a complex finish reminiscent of wild herbs.

  • How to prepare: Steep 3–5 whole flowers in hot water (95°C) for 3–5 minutes. For a more intense, "earthy" brew, you can use a higher flower-to-water ratio. To create a balanced "Mountain Tonic," pair with a few slices of dried Red Dates (Jujube) to complement the cooling floral notes with a warm, malty sweetness.

  • How it’s used: A premier "Internal Coolant" herbal tea; a staple for those seeking to soothe the body during heat-intensive seasons; a favorite for "Evening Calm" rituals due to its naturally caffeine-free nature; and a stunning, colorful garnish for artisanal mocktails and clear glassware where its deep pigments can beautifully diffuse.
