• Scientific Name: Achillea millefolium L. Yarrow Flowers are small dried flower heads and flowering pieces with natural pale cream, beige, muted yellow-green and light brown colouring.
• Also Known As: Common Yarrow, Milfoil, Thousand-Leaf, Biranjasif, Brinjasif, Gandhana, Achillea Flowers and Qaysum Alfi Al-Awraq.
• What It’s Known For: A strongly aromatic botanical with herbal, grassy, floral, lightly camphoraceous and distinctly bitter notes. Commonly prepared as a flower infusion or blended with chamomile, mint, lemon balm, lemongrass, ginger, citrus peel, dried apple and selected tea leaves. Yarrow is recognised in international food classification among edible flowers and is also widely processed for herbal tea.
• How to Use: Add approximately 1 teaspoon of Yarrow Flowers to 200–250 ml of hot water. Cover and steep for 5–7 minutes, then strain. Begin with a small quantity because Yarrow has a naturally concentrated and bitter flavour.
