Indigo Leaf Powder (Blue Henna / Neeli) - Indigofera Tinctoria
-
Also known as: Blue Henna, Wasma, Neeli, Indian Indigo, Black Henna (Natural).
-
Scientific name: Indigofera tinctoria (A subtropical shrub famed for its deep, pigment-rich foliage).
-
What it’s known for: Its natural blue-violet pigment. When used alongside Henna, it is the primary botanical solution for achieving permanent, chemical-free black or dark brown hair shades.
-
How to prepare: Mix with warm water (and a pinch of salt to help the dye release) into a smooth, yogurt-like paste. Use immediately after mixing, as Indigo loses its staining power if left to sit for too long.
-
How it’s used: Primarily applied in a "two-step" process (Henna first, followed by Indigo) for a jet-black finish, or mixed directly with Henna for varied shades of chocolate and mahogany brown.
-
Quality profile: 100% Pure, raw, and micro-fine triple-sifted powder. Our Indigo is freshly harvested and handled to ensure maximum "Indican" content for a deep, vibrant stain.
